Herts & Essex Borders Canine Society

22/03/2026

Thank you to the committee of Herts and Essex Borders Canine Society for their kind offer to judge at their show – thanks also to London & Provincial Collie Club for supporting the Collie (Rough) classes. Thank you also to my stewards Angie and Edward for keeping the ring running smoothly.

Collie (Rough)

Puppy (1 entry 0 abs)

1st AMBARTR HEARTS OF STEEL FROM KELEKONA (BPIB)

Stood alone at just 6 months and a little overwhelmed by the occasion. Dog of good size and shape with good front angulation which showed good reach on the move. Lovely substance to this young man with nice bend of stifle but needs time for his head to mature. Moved freely around the ring and in lovely coat condition.

Junior (3 entries 1 abs)

1st IMAGINIST FROZEN IN TIME (RBOB)

Lovely youngster of pleasing type with excellent overall shape and substance. Particularly admired her lovely muzzle and excellent eye shape and set, giving the sweetest expression. Stands on neat feet and excels on the move, covering the ground with ease and confidence. Close call for BOB

2nd WICANI BELLADONNA FOR BEARVEN

Well-made bitch of excellent size and bone with a pleasing, balanced outline. Another excellent mover, showing soundness and purpose. Presents a quality picture, though still needs time to fully mature and develop to complete the overall impression

Limit (5 entries 1 abs)

1st KELEKONA HEARTS OF GOLD JW (BOB, GROUP SHORTLIST)

Classic type rough collie of excellent quality and balance. Lovely head and expression, presented in tip-top condition. Shows a lovely bend of stifle with reach and drive on the move. My BOB and thoroughly deserving of his group shortlist placing -  He presents the outline of impassive dignity the standard calls for and I still believe he has more to come as he matures further, congratulations on your win today.

2nd IMAGINIST SUPERIOR SUN WITH BEARVEN

A different type to my BOB but still a quality exhibit with a lovely head and eye creating a pleasing expression. Good substance and holds topline well on the move. Tail detracts from overall outline both standing and in motion. This young man ticks the box on strength and activity and gave his handler a lovely trip around the ring.

3rd BRILYN MAKE ME SMILE AT GARBH

Res IMAGINIST A GRIFFIN’S MARK

Open (2 entries 2 abs)

N/A both absent
